Acumatica Product Configurator

Acumatica Product Configurator helps manufacturers define configurable products and carry their specifications into manufacturing workflows. Its rules-based configurator creates bills of material and routings with calculated costs and prices for goods configured by features, options, and dimensions. Dimensional formulas calculate component material requirements, while formula checks can enforce minimum and maximum attribute values. The configurator retains revision history, including who created each revision.

Configured items can be used in CRM opportunities, quotes, sales orders, and production orders. When a quote is converted, configured items carry over to the sales order, and configuration results can flow into production orders. Manufacturers can also define forecasted finished goods and product variants for building to stock ahead of peak-demand seasons. Pricing can use a fixed parent price, rolled-up option prices and order multiples, or a combination of parent prices and child-item costs. Web endpoints let external applications use its product-option rules. It is an embedded offering available on Android, iOS, and web, with API support.

Apto.ONE

Apto.ONE is open-source software for building product configurators, available online or for local installation. It is designed for products with many variants, guiding customers through choices in OnePage or Step-by-Step mode. Configurations can show images or descriptions, with photorealistic high-resolution product display. A rule system checks dependencies between steps so customers can assemble feasible combinations; rules may be strict or soft. The software calculates prices as selections are made, including options for surcharges, discounts, special prices, and customer-group prices. An administration interface lets operators adjust products and configuration options, while the software can be adapted and extended. Configurations can feed a request process or connect to e-commerce systems; Shopware is named as an available integration, and connector availability should be checked through provider app stores. Customers can save configurations and return later. The free Open Source Edition can be installed on hosting, in a virtual machine, or locally on PC, Mac, or Linux. Documentation covers setup, 3D model requirements, connectors, and plugins.
