| Address data | Addressify uses the Australian government's G-NAF dataset and says its data is updated every three months when the government releases new data. | The maker describes G-NAF as Australia's authoritative address database with more than 15 million addresses. |
| Geocoding | The API returns latitude and longitude for an address and can perform reverse geocoding. | Geocoding to latitude and longitude is optional for self-hosted deployments; enabling it requires more memory and increases indexing time. |
| Integrations | The vendor says any internet-connected software able to make HTTP GET requests and process JSON can integrate, including CRM, ERP, Excel, Access and Word. | The maker documents an MCP package for Claude, Cursor, VS Code Copilot, and other MCP-compatible AI assistants. |
| Support | The vendor offers paid implementation help from its developers in addition to its documentation. | The maker offers community support through Gitter and quotes for commercial implementation or operational support. |

In their own words
Addressify
Addressify is a cloud API for Australian address verification and processing in websites, forms, apps, and business systems. It can correct incomplete or inaccurate entries, including misspellings and incorrect postcodes, and parse free-form text into fields such as building name, unit, street, suburb, state, and postcode. Its autocomplete supports address entry; geocoding can return latitude and longitude from an address or identify an address from coordinates. It can also provide a meshblock for use with ABS sociodemographic data. Addressify uses the Australian government's G-NAF dataset and says it refreshes data every three months when new government data is released. The API supports HTTPS and can integrate with software that makes HTTP GET calls and handles JSON, including CRM and ERP systems and Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word. Lite validates street-level fields but not whether unit, level, or street numbers exist; Pro provides complete validation. The 30-day Trial costs nothing and permits 1,000 daily API calls. Lite costs $2,000 a year and Pro costs $4,000 a year; both prices are GST exclusive.
Addressr
Addressr provides Australian address search, validation, and autocomplete through an API or self-hosted software. It uses G-NAF, which its maker describes as Australia's authoritative address database with more than 15 million addresses. Search covers addresses, localities, postcodes, and states or territories. Results include a stable address identifier, and an address-detail endpoint returns structured fields and available geocoding. Teams can use the hosted API through RapidAPI or run the software on their own infrastructure. RapidAPI handles signup, API keys, billing, and plan changes; current hosted prices and request limits are available there. Self-hosting requires Node.js 22 or newer and OpenSearch. The first full data download and index takes about an hour, depending on the machine and options. G-NAF is released every three months, and the maker recommends scheduling updates for a self-hosted index. Optional latitude and longitude geocoding for self-hosting requires more memory and increases indexing time. The self-hosted software is free at free under an Apache-2.0 licence, but the team supplies its infrastructure, hosting, monitoring, and data updates. Addressr also documents an MCP package for Claude, Cursor, VS Code Copilot, and other compatible assistants.
