Overview

The converter accepts JPG, BMP, PNG, TIFF, WEBP, AVIF and HEIC files and produces EPS, PS, PDF, DXF or SVG. That breadth is useful for more than screen graphics: the site cites screen printing, vinyl cutting, embroidery, digital printing, laser cutting, engraving, CNC and 3D printing as applications. It began as a raster-to-vector app in 2015, and its team is based in Europe.

Color tracing includes controls for clustering, curve fitting, color precision, gradient steps, speckle filtering, corner thresholds, segment length and splice thresholds. These options offer room to shape a result, but are more useful to someone willing to adjust tracing parameters than to a user expecting every image to convert well without intervention. The color converter recommends images around 1000px or no larger than 1MB for best results.

Key features

The API handles batch conversion and can be integrated into a website or application to process customer files. It supports cURL, Java, .NET, Node.js, PHP, Python and Ruby, and free access lets developers try it in an app before purchasing a subscription. That makes it a practical route for a file-processing workflow; it is less compelling if the need is only an occasional manual conversion.

The homepage says submitted data is removed from the server within a few hours, while the color converter says files are not saved on the server. Users can convert without registering or providing personal information. The site also invites people who have trouble or are dissatisfied with results to contact it for help.

Pricing

The free online vectorization tool costs 0.00 USD per free, requires no registration and converts bitmap images to vector formats. It suits occasional use, though the free-plan description gives no quota or file-size cap beyond the image guidance for best color-conversion results.

The Yearly Subscription is 0.05 USD per year, billed annually and renewed annually, with a minimum of 50 images per month. The Monthly Subscription is 0.08 USD per month as a one-time payment, with a minimum of 50 images. Those minimums make the paid options a better fit for steady workloads than for a few isolated jobs. An Individual Subscription has custom pricing for orders over 600 images; contact the maker for more information.

Platforms

Vectorization.eu runs on the web and offers an API. Its API language and tool support spans cURL, Java, .NET, Node.js, PHP, Python and Ruby, giving developers several ways to connect it to an application. No desktop platform is identified.

Who it's for

Choose it for an unregistered conversion of a bitmap into production-oriented vector formats, especially when EPS, DXF or PDF is needed alongside SVG. It also suits developers who need to process customer uploads in batches. The image-size guidance and monthly minimums are reasons to look elsewhere if the work involves large source images or low, unpredictable paid volumes.

Pros and cons

Pros: Broad bitmap input and vector output support covers a range of production workflows, including cutting, printing and engraving.
Pros: Batch API conversion, free API testing and multiple integration languages support evaluation before adopting it in an application.
Pros: No registration is required for online conversion, and the homepage says submitted data is removed within a few hours.
Cons: The color converter recommends images around 1000px or no larger than 1MB, which may constrain larger artwork.
Cons: Paid subscriptions require at least 50 images per month, a poor match for occasional paid use.

Alternatives

Compare image vectorization software if you want to survey the category before choosing a tool.

Vectorizer.AI is worth comparing if you want a paid API plan at 9.99 USD per month with 50 credits and rollover, or need platforms beyond web and API.
Vector Magic is an option for someone who prefers its browser-based Online Edition at 9.95 USD per month, with unlimited use and subscription-required downloads.
VTracer is the alternative to consider if open-source software and Linux, macOS, Windows or self-hosted deployment matter.
EdgeSVG is another free option for readers comparing web and desktop platform support.
Vecto suits readers looking for an open-source desktop build, with a 7.99 USD one-time Microsoft Store option for Windows 10 / 11.
VectorIt is a free, open-source desktop app for Windows, macOS and Linux.
AutoTrace is another free option for Linux, macOS and Windows.
AI Vectorizer is worth considering if you want a web and API freemium option; its Free plan allows 2 Classic conversions per rolling 24 hours, with a 15 MB file limit and watermarked Free SVG exports.

Verdict

Vectorization.eu is a strong fit for people who need varied vector output formats without signing up, and for developers who want batch conversion in a customer-file workflow. Its main advantage is that combination of tracing controls, production formats and an API with free testing. Look elsewhere if you expect to process large images or need paid conversion without a monthly image minimum.
