Magic Eraser is an AI image-editing toolkit for removing objects and backgrounds, enhancing images, expanding canvases, and creating images and design assets. Users brush over unwanted objects, people, text, or clutter, and an inpainting model reconstructs the surrounding image. Background removal supports transparent, white, custom-image, or gradient backgrounds, with transparent PNG export. AI Enhance improves clarity, color, and detail and can upscale low-resolution images up to 4×. Other tools include AI Expand, AI Filters, a Design tool for social posts and marketing assets, and AI Create for prompt-based images. The service runs on Android, iOS, and the web; desktop editing takes place in a browser without installation. Signed-in free users get limited edits and photo processing, with exports without watermarks. The listed Free plan is free, billed Forever, and includes basic editing, limited AI filters, unlimited exports, mobile access, and ads. The Yearly plan is $29.99 a year. Most AI features upload images to Google Cloud or a Vietnam data center; images are encrypted in transit and at rest and deleted after a maximum of three hours.
