Aha! Ideas
Aha! Ideas helps product teams gather feedback from customers and communities, then assess ideas by revenue potential. Teams can create custom-branded portals where unlimited portal users submit feedback and vote. Other inputs include polls, in-app idea submission, and automatic product-idea detection. Requests can be reviewed in a single view, evaluated with scorecards, and ranked by priority. Its AI assistant, Elle, can find themes in feedback, surface use cases across related ideas, and identify similar ideas for possible merging. The Advanced plan adds dynamic forms, proxy voting, CRM integrations, polls, advanced reporting, automation rules, and portal translation; CRM connections such as Salesforce and Zendesk require that plan. Essentials costs $49 a month, billed Monthly, starting at $49 per user/month with a minimum of three paid users. Advanced costs $74 a month, billed Monthly, with the same starting per-user price structure and minimum. A 30-day trial includes Advanced functionality, permits colleague invitations, and requires no credit card. Every plan includes HTTPS communications and encryption at rest. Users can export data as CSV or use the Aha! API. The product is available on web, macOS, Windows, as an extension, and through an API.
GI2MO
GI2MO is a project applying Semantic Web technologies to idea management, with a free, open-source system called Gi2MO IdeaStream. Users can keep unfinished ideas private, edit them later, and publish them when ready. Semantic metadata links idea-management information with assets from other systems and the wider web; the Gi2MO ontology supplies a schema for describing collected resources. IdeaStream supports administrator-defined taxonomies, multilingual interfaces through Drupal’s internationalization API, and review browsing and filtering subject to user permissions. Other project applications demonstrate analysis and visualization. IdeaStream Analytics groups similar ideas using term patterns and contextual information, including k-means clustering. Idea Browser displays distributed RDF idea data in a bubble diagram, while RDFme provides REST-based RDF/XML import and export. The project characterizes its applications as prototypes and showcases. Idea Browser’s current form has been tested only with RDF data encoded using the Gi2MO ontology. Related prototypes include a relationship visualizer for RDF/XML exports, OPAL comment polarity analysis described as a simple proof of concept not aiming for high accuracy, and a Windows 8 touch app and iPhone statistics app. The project invites customization and collaboration inquiries.
