In their own words
Ahenora
Ahenora brings household tasks, a family calendar, meals, shopping, and school paperwork together for solo parents, co-parents, and busy households. Tasks can have reminders and repeat as routines; the calendar can import Google or Outlook events. Families can plan dinners, request AI recipe suggestions, share shopping lists, and track costs by month and shop. A scanned school letter or appointment card can become a task or saved document, and household files can be kept in a private vault. Family messaging includes a parent in every private conversation, with optional private accounts for ages 13–17. Co-parents can set alternating-week schedules, add hand-off notes, and take up tasks started by the other parent. Tasks, meals, lists, and household membership can be viewed offline; offline completions are sent when the connection returns. Ahenora runs on Android, iOS, and web, in English, French, Spanish, and German. Plans include a free option and paid monthly tiers from €1.99/mo; the listed pricing note says paid plans start at €6.99/mo.
Equal House
Equal House is a family planning app for households dividing chores, childcare and mental load. It combines shared calendars, chores, meals, money, shopping lists and other household planning with a live Fairness Score. Each task receives an effort weight, contributing to a household score from 0 to 100; Auto-Balance uses that score to redistribute upcoming chores. Planners cover meals and shopping, children’s parties, school runs and exercise. Magic Add can read pasted or photographed newsletters and suggest events or chores for review before saving. Pro can connect Google, Outlook, Apple or school calendars, and link Claude or other AI assistants with confirmation required for changes. Children use adult-managed profiles without email addresses, passwords or independent accounts. The app runs on Android and iOS. A free plan supports planning up to three days ahead. Equal House Pro costs £2.99 per household per month, or £29.90 per year.
