AIMMS Sales and Operations Planning vs New Horizon Sales and Operations Planning

AIMMS Sales and Operations Planning is a cloud application for coordinating expected demand with supply, inventory, and financial planning. Teams can compare multiple what-if scenarios in real time during monthly planning meetings, using embedded analytics to assess capacity, supply decisions, product and customer assumptions, commercial assumptions, and EBITDA impact. AIMMS says dynamic plan development can bring planning time down from days to hours. The application is described as easy to integrate with an ERP system; data can also move between AIMMS and databases, warehouse and factory management systems, BI tools, spreadsheets, and data lakes. Documented integration options include REST API, OpenAPI, OAuth, ODBC, Python, Go, Julia, and Azure Data Factory, as well as Azure and AWS machine-learning integrations. Organizations can add Integrated Business Planning capabilities for greater financial reconciliation and links to new product introductions and product management. AIMMS states it is ISO 27001 certified, encrypts data at rest and in transit, and conducts continuous intrusion detection and vulnerability scanning. Pricing is on request and tailored to the problem, scale, and ambition; there is no free plan.
