Overview

AIPhotor brings removal, enhancement, restoration and portrait adjustments together, which is useful for mixed editing jobs without requiring a separate tool for each. A registered free account starts with five credits. That is enough to try a few edits, not a substitute for a continuing free allowance.

Key features

The toolset spans object and background removal, photo enhancement, colorization, skin retouching, text removal, photo restoration, sky changes, auto lighting, art enhancement and background blur; scratch repair and face enhancement are supported too. This breadth fits users handling varied image fixes. If restoration is the only job, a dedicated restoration option may be a better match.

Object removal detects unwanted objects automatically and provides a manual brush for adjustments, giving users some control when detection needs correction. Background removal accepts JPG, PNG and JPEG and supports background colors, replacement images and templates, so it can change a scene rather than simply leave a cutout.

Images must be under 4096 × 4096 pixels and no larger than 10 MB. Supported formats are PNG, JPG, JPEG and BMP. The dimensions and file-size ceiling rule out some large source images before editing; check them first if your workflow uses high-resolution files.

One image consumes one credit for background removal, object removal and colorization. Photo enhancement uses one credit when the long edge is 4096 pixels or less. Those rules make the credit count reasonably legible, but the stated pricing terms do not give a per-credit schedule for every other tool, so users relying on other edits should confirm the applicable cost before committing.

Images are transmitted with SSL/TLS, stored using AWS and Google Cloud, and deleted with results and face data within about an hour after upload. The privacy policy also describes GDPR-related rights and a maximum three-month retention period for server logs. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled, and paid-service payments are generally non-refundable where law permits. Support is by email, with replies potentially taking 2–4 business days during peak periods.

Pricing

The free account is free and gives registered users 5 credits. The object-removal page advertises a 3-day free trial. The free account is a sensible way to check image compatibility and try a small number of edits, but its five-credit balance limits ongoing use.

Monthly subscriptions provide recurring credits and renew automatically unless canceled:

100 credits: 3.99 USD per month, billed $3.99/month.
150 credits: 4.99 USD per month, billed $4.99/month.
300 credits: 6.99 USD per month, billed $6.99/month.

Each monthly tier gives one credit per successful background removal, object removal and colorization; photo enhancement uses one credit when the long edge is 4096 pixels or less. The 100-credit tier suits occasional recurring work, while 150 or 300 credits give more monthly capacity. The cost is a recurring commitment even in a quieter month, and cancellation is needed to stop renewal.

Pay As You Go credits are one-time purchases and do not expire:

100 credits: 4.99 USD per once, billed $4.99.
150 credits: 5.99 USD per once, billed $5.99.
300 credits: 9.99 USD per once, billed $9.99.

These are a better fit for irregular use because unused credits remain available. Compared with subscriptions, the one-time bundles cost more for the same credit count, so regular users may prefer a monthly tier. No seat or multi-user option is described in these plans.

Platforms

AIPhotor runs on the web and has Android and iOS platforms. That range suits users who switch between a browser and mobile devices, though the listed platform support does not establish that every editing tool behaves identically across them.

Who it's for

AIPhotor is aimed at casual users, designers, photographers and online entrepreneurs. It is a practical fit when a user wants several kinds of retouching in one place and edits within the image caps. It is less suited to high-volume work, oversized source images or anyone who needs predictable unlimited usage.

Pros and cons

Pro: The combination of removal, restoration, colorization and portrait tools covers varied cleanup jobs in one editor.
Pro: Manual adjustment for object removal and background replacement options add control beyond automatic removal.
Pro: Pay-as-you-go credits do not expire, which avoids paying monthly for sporadic editing.
Con: A free account has only five credits, so it is primarily a short trial of the workflow.
Con: The 10 MB and under-4096 × 4096 pixel limits exclude some source images.
Con: Monthly credits renew on subscription, and payments are generally non-refundable where law permits.

Alternatives

For focused restoration, browse Photo Restoration Software. HitPaw FotorPea is worth considering for users who want a paid option with Android, iOS, MacOS, web and Windows support and a 1 Month plan at 21.99 USD per month, including 100 free credits and nine AI image enhancement models. ImageColorizer may fit users centered on colorization who prefer a free tier with 50 credits per month, single processing and ads, or a 6.90 USD per month Starter plan.

VanceAI Photo Restorer is an alternative for users seeking a restoration-focused service with a Starter plan at 15.00 USD per month and 260 monthly credits, where 4 credits cover 1K/2K restoration and 10 cover 4K. Memento AI is an iOS and MacOS option with free standard restoration saves and a 36.99 USD per year Pro plan. SoftOrbits Photo Retoucher offers web and Windows plans described as unlimited usage, with custom pricing.

Restore.Photo is a restoration-oriented web option with an API and a free tier of three monthly restorations, standard quality and resolution up to 1024x1024. DaVinci AI Photo Restoration is another Android, iOS and web alternative.

Verdict

Choose AIPhotor if you want a broad set of retouching tools, use supported image sizes and prefer either a small free balance or credits that can be bought once and kept. Its strongest case is breadth paired with non-expiring pay-as-you-go credits. Look elsewhere for unlimited or high-volume work, larger images, or a specialized restoration workflow.
