In their own words
Airbrake
Airbrake monitors application errors and performance, continuously watching an application stack and sending real-time alerts. Error groups, hotspots, breadcrumbs, backtraces, and aggregations give technical teams context for investigating issues. Deployment Tracking measures errors resolved or introduced with each deployment, while Apdex Scores help interpret user satisfaction. Airbrake supports more than 50 languages, frameworks, and libraries, using agentless and serverless notifiers described as having near-zero application impact. Listed integrations include Bitbucket, GitHub, GitLab, Jira, LogRocket, Okta, OneLogin, PivotalTracker, Slack, Trello, Webhooks, and Zapier. Its mobile notifier supports Android, iOS, Swift, and React Native. The free plan has a quota of 50,000 events per month; paid plans start at $17/mo billed annually. A 30-day trial includes unlimited errors and performance monitoring events, with 30 days of data retention. Accounts have monthly quotas, and excess usage is charged at on-demand rates. Airbrake lists web and API access alongside Android and iOS platforms.
Coroot
Coroot is an open-source observability platform that uses eBPF to collect metrics, logs, traces, and profiling data without code changes. It maps services and dependencies, and pairs eBPF auto-instrumentation with OpenTelemetry SDK traces for end-to-end request tracking. Continuous profiling can locate CPU spikes down to the line of code. Coroot tracks cloud costs without access to cloud accounts and detects risks such as single-instance applications, unreplicated databases, poor replica placement, and publicly exposed services. Its AI root cause analysis correlates metrics, logs, traces, events, and profiles to identify likely incident causes, with evidence and suggested fixes. Notifications can be sent through Slack, Microsoft Teams, PagerDuty, Opsgenie, and webhooks. Coroot supports Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, Docker Swarm, several listed Linux distributions, and Windows agents. Linux use requires kernel version 5.1 or later. The platform is self-hosted, keeping data within the customer's infrastructure. Community Edition is Apache 2.0 licensed and can run on premises or in a customer's cloud. The free Community Edition includes core features. Standard support is by email, chat, or ticket during business hours, while Premium includes 24×7 and phone support.
