In their own words
Airtable
Airtable is a cloud platform for organizing relational data and building governed workflows for teams. It brings together databases, interfaces, automations, reporting, views, governance and security controls, alongside Airtable AI. Teams can use it to create business apps without code and place AI agents inside those apps. Integrations listed include Slack, Google Drive, Salesforce, Jira and Zendesk; native integrations include email, Dropbox, Box, Gmail, Google Drive and Typeform. Permission settings can be customized for collaborators, and share links can be password-protected or limited by email domain. Other security features include record-level revision history and two-factor authentication. Airtable lists compliance coverage or certification information for SOC 2 Type 2, ISO/IEC 27001:2022, ISO/IEC 27701:2019, HIPAA and TX-RAMP Level 2. It offers web access, an API and extension, plus macOS, Windows, iOS and Android apps. The Free plan is for individuals or very small teams and allows 1,000 records per base. Team costs $20 a month billed annually; a 14-day trial is listed.
Matrify
Matrify is a web application for keeping structured records about action items, assets, customers, products, and other information. Users build tables with fields such as text, dates, numbers, images, video, and comments. Multi-column search, shareable filters, links between records, and validation rules help organize and constrain data. Tables can be shared with team members or friends, with permissions set for what they can do. Matrify imports and exports CSV, stores its database in XML, and provides a RESTful API for reading, writing, deleting, and querying data. It can run as self-hosted server software or in cloud hosting on Amazon AWS, with a dedicated server for each team. Supported platforms include Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, web, and Windows; the maker lists Firefox, Chrome, Safari, and Internet Explorer. The free license allows up to 300 records and three users. Paid annual licenses start at $10 a year for 1–10 users; a perpetual license for that group costs $20, paid once.
