In their own words
Albert
Albert is a financial-management service for Android, iOS, and the web. It provides budgeting tools that categorize transactions, track spending and cash flow, and identify recurring bills and subscriptions. Users can connect bank accounts, credit cards, loans, and investment accounts; Albert says it supports thousands of financial institutions. Connections use Plaid, and unsupported institutions may require manual entry. Genius, Albert’s AI-powered assistant, can create plans and, after review and approval, help with transfers and investment transactions. The service also supports scheduled transfers and interest on savings. Albert says data is encrypted in transit through Plaid and that it does not store bank passwords. Eligible Cash and Savings funds may receive FDIC insurance through partner banks, subject to conditions. Investment accounts have SIPC protection against broker-dealer failure, not investment losses. Albert says it is not a bank; partner banks provide banking services. Plans are $19.99 a month for Standard and $39.99 a month for Family or Genius, with a 30-day trial.
Piggo
Piggo is a family pocket money app for managing allowances, chores, savings goals and children's stock portfolios. Parents can schedule recurring weekly or monthly transfers for each child, in or out. Families can set recurring chores, one-off tasks and first-come open tasks; a parent approves completed chores before rewards reach the child's account. Children can request deposits or withdrawals with a note and receipt photo for a parent to approve or decline. Parents can set savings goals and pay interest on a child's savings account. Each child can have a small portfolio showing real prices updated daily, for information and education; it does not trade securities or provide investment advice. Piggo is free while the app is in beta, listed at free, and runs on Android, iOS and web. It supports Danish, English, Spanish, German, Italian, French, Swedish and Norwegian. Piggo says it does not hold, move or pay out real money; it is intended for family bookkeeping, with an adult creating and managing the family.
