In their own words
Aleph
Aleph is AI-native financial planning and analysis software that connects data, strategy, and spreadsheets through a web platform. It supports financial reporting and close, collaborative budgeting, modeling and forecasting, headcount planning, and investor and board relations. Spreadsheet integrations for Excel and Google Sheets can pull source data and push budgets, scenarios, or datasets; refreshes can be scheduled, and event triggers can automate work across spreadsheets. Aleph offers more than 150 no-code connectors for ERP, HRIS, CRM, and other systems, and can connect to services with an API. Its Scan tool analyzes changes and variances and produces AI-generated notes about factors, patterns, and root causes. Data transformation features include field mapping, combining tables, calculations, metrics, and SQL. Aleph says permissions control access to sensitive data. It offers a free full-access trial and a 30-minute demonstration using a prospective customer’s data. Subscription prices are not published; its pricing is quote-based and available on request. Listed platforms are macOS, web, and Windows.
Float
Float turns data from connected accounting software into rolling cash flow forecasts for finance teams. It offers weekly and 13-week views, plus monthly forecasts that extend up to three years on Growth and Scale. Users can adjust income and costs, model scenarios and estimate new-hire costs before committing. Float shows invoices and bills with expected payment dates based on when clients actually pay. Its current accounting integrations are Xero and QuickBooks Online; a direct Sage Intacct connection is described as coming soon. Float does not connect directly to banks: bank transaction data comes through the connected accounting platform. Data syncs every 24 hours, with manual sync also available. Teams can comment on budget lines, invoices, bills and payments, tag colleagues and receive mention notifications. Admin, Editor and Viewer roles govern access. Float lists encryption in transit and at rest, multi-factor authentication, role-based access and independent auditing to the UK government-backed Cyber Essentials standard. The web service has no free plan; pricing starts at $105/mo (annual), with a 14-day trial. Essentials forecasts up to 12 months; Growth and Scale cover 36 months.
