Almabase
Almabase is a web-based platform for digital engagement, event management, and online giving that operates on an organization’s CRM. Its programs can include mentorship, affinity groups, alumni directories, news and updates, job boards, and business directories. Teams can run online giving campaigns and manage events with self-service registration and QR check-ins. Communications include branded email templates, automation, audience segmentation, and real-time reporting. TrueSync provides two-way synchronization with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT, with rules controlling data movement. Almabase also lists connections with Ellucian, Kindsight, Slate, Veracross, and DonorPerfect. Payment-related integrations include Blackbaud Merchant Services, Authorize.net, PayPal, Stripe, and Apple Pay. The platform supports event hosting, private spaces, custom domains, moderation tools, and permissions based on team structure. Almabase identifies higher education, K-12, healthcare, and nonprofits as sectors it serves. It lists SOC 2 Type 2, GDPR, ADA, and HECVAT among its compliance items, and advertises 24x7 support. Pricing is custom and depends on needs and alumni size.
AlumUnion
AlumUnion gives institutions a web portal for building a branded community for alumni, former students, members, supporters and other stakeholders. Its searchable member directory and event RSVP tracking provide ways for members to connect and take part. Institutions choose which features to enable; options include forums, class notes, news, announcements, a job board, mentorship matching and an opt-in alumni map. Portals can also support dues and fundraisers, merchandise sales, and paid requests for services such as transcripts and certificates.
The Institution platform plan is free, with no setup, subscription or per-member charge. Online payment processing fees may apply and are shown before payment. AlumUnion says it helps with portal branding, groups, administrators, imported member data, training, launch and the first campaign. Institutions get a branded AlumUnion subdomain, and a custom domain can be configured. The responsive web app works in phone browsers and can be installed on a phone home screen. Payments are handled by a licensed provider; the privacy policy describes HTTPS, hashed passwords, role-based staff access and separation between institutions’ data.
