Altered Studio
Altered Studio combines voice transformation and audio production tools for creating professional voice content. Its Speech-to-Speech and Performance-to-Performance morphing changes a voice while retaining the speaker’s performance. Other tools include text-to-speech, voice cloning, AI voice cleaning, denoising, audio editing, DSP effects and batch processing. Studio supports transcription and translation in 75+ languages, and text-to-speech voice-over in 70+ languages. A Rapid Voice Clone can be made from 4–8 seconds of audio; custom voice models are available by contacting Altered. The online Voice Editor can work with Google Drive audio, while RealTime Pro routes audio through a virtual microphone to apps including Discord, Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet. The free plan includes 3 minutes per month of voice morphing and 10,000 AI tokens. Creator costs $30 a month billed annually; Professional costs $90 a month billed annually. Desktop use requires a Windows PC with an 8GB+ Nvidia GPU, and mobile devices are not currently supported.
Baidu Text-to-Speech
Baidu Text-to-Speech converts text into speech for applications and devices, with Chinese, English, mixed Chinese-English, and more than 70 voice styles available through its online service. Users can change speech rate, pitch, volume, and supported emotional effects; Chinese polyphonic characters can be annotated with pronunciation. Streaming synthesis can play audio nearly as text is entered, and long-text synthesis handles up to 100,000 Chinese characters in one request. Baidu provides HTTP and WebSocket APIs, online and offline SDKs, and Android and iOS SDKs for phones and smart devices. Offline synthesis is intended for settings with weak or no network access, including mobile apps, readers, robots, and smart hardware. Listed uses include audiobook reading, news and order announcements, and smart hardware. Short-text API requests must stay under 1,024 GBK bytes, with 120 bytes or less recommended. Export formats are MP3, PCM, and WAV. The service offers a free trial; offline trial and license plans are listed, while prices for other listed plans are not provided.
