Overview

The module brings alumni records and activities together: graduates can maintain searchable profiles, while schools can organize events, coordinate mentorship, track donations and provide online degree checks. Graduating students can be added automatically; historical alumni can be imported by CSV or invited by email. This gives institutions ways to build a community from both new cohorts and existing records.

Scholva connects the alumni module with Academics for graduate intake, Fee Management for donation processing, and Communication for newsletters and announcements. Razorpay supports cards, UPI, net banking and wallets. Those links make the product a stronger fit for schools using Scholva across their operations than for organizations seeking an independent alumni system.

Key features

Profiles, events and mentorship

Alumni can be searched by batch, profession or location and update their own profiles. Schools can invite attendees to reunions and networking events, track RSVPs and share photos. Suggested student-alumni mentorship matches are based on interests and goals, but coordinators approve them, keeping the matching process under institutional oversight.

Giving and credentials

Donation tracking includes automatic tax receipts and campaign-progress dashboards, giving schools both contribution records and a way to monitor fundraising. Each profile also generates a unique verification link employers can use to check degree authenticity online. Together, these capabilities address institutional administration as well as alumni engagement.

Data and administration

CSV and Excel imports include a dry run that flags problems before data is saved, a practical safeguard when bringing in historical records. Scholva says it encrypts stored data with AES-256 and uses TLS 1.3 for connections. Granular role-based access includes more than 50 permissions and a full audit trail. Data is hosted in India on SOC 2 certified infrastructure; enterprise plans offer dedicated instances. Daily backups have 30-day retention, with point-in-time recovery and quarterly disaster-recovery testing. These controls will matter to institutions handling sensitive student and alumni records.

Pricing

Scholva uses a freemium model and offers a free trial. The Free plan costs 0.00 USD per free for up to 200 students. It includes event management, mentoring programs, fundraising tools, community spaces, a mobile app, email campaigns and engagement analytics. That is a substantial starting set for a small alumni community, but the student cap may rule it out for larger institutions. No paid plan price is provided; enterprise plans offer dedicated instances, but the price and other terms are custom pricing.

Platforms

Scholva Alumni Network runs on web and Android. The free-plan feature set includes a mobile app, but the supported platforms given for the product do not include iOS.

Who it's for

Scholva is designed for K-12 schools, colleges and coaching institutes, with a focus on Indian education. It is particularly suited to institutions that want alumni engagement connected to graduate intake, donation processing and school communications. Organizations with more than 200 students should consider whether a paid arrangement fits their scale before relying on the free plan.

Pros and cons

Pros

Profiles, events, mentorship, fundraising and degree verification serve several alumni-office needs in one module.
Automatic tax receipts, campaign dashboards and employer verification links support concrete administrative workflows.
CSV and Excel imports include a dry run, while access controls, audit trails and recovery provisions add safeguards for institutional data.

Cons

The free plan is capped at 200 students, limiting its suitability for larger alumni populations.
The listed platform support is web and Android, not iOS.
Scholva’s connected modules make the product a less natural fit for institutions that want a standalone alumni tool.
Paid-plan pricing and terms are custom pricing, so institutions cannot assess those costs from the free-plan price alone.

Alternatives

For a broader comparison, see Alumni Management Software.

AlumniMS is worth considering for a web-based free option capped at 100 members, with 15 platform modules and basic analytics.
Alumnly is an alternative for institutions that want Android, iOS and web support and are willing to pay 199.00 USD per year for its Starter plan.
Alumbook may suit larger communities: its Complete Alumni Platform is 199.00 USD per month and covers up to 1,000 alumni users.
Feending is another freemium option, with web and API platforms and an unlimited-user Free plan.
AlmaShines is an alternative for organizations wanting Android, iOS and web access; its Booster plan is 1199.00 USD per year for up to 3,000 alumni.
AlumnForce is a paid alternative with Android, iOS, web and API platforms; its Décollage plan is 350.00 EUR per month on an annual subscription, excluding setup and onboarding.
EverTrue is another paid alumni-relations option.
Hivebrite is another paid option, with Core and Flex plans.

Verdict

Scholva Alumni Network is a strong fit for Indian education institutions that already use Scholva and want alumni records, engagement, fundraising and degree checks connected to school workflows. Its broad free-plan feature set makes it a reasonable starting point for communities of up to 200 students. Look elsewhere if you need iOS support, a standalone alumni platform, or a free tier sized for a larger network.
