IntegrationsThe feature page lists integrations with AWS services; it describes AWS KMS encryption, IAM access control, and VPC endpoints with AWS PrivateLink.Redis Insight connects to Redis deployments including Redis Software, Redis Cloud, Redis Open Source, Azure Managed Redis, and Redis on AWS or GCP, and supports RDI pipelines.
LicenseDynamoDB Local is proprietary AWS software licensed for internal use with an AWS account; redistribution, modification, sublicensing, and reverse engineering are prohibited.Redis lists Redis Insight version 2.0 and later under SSPLv1.
SecurityCustomer data is encrypted in transit and at rest by default, and access can be controlled with IAM policies down to specific items and attributes.Redis Insight stores sensitive information such as database passwords and Workbench history locally, and Docker users can configure an encryption key for that information.

In their own words

Amazon DynamoDB

Amazon DynamoDB is a serverless, managed NoSQL database for applications that need single-digit millisecond performance at any scale, according to AWS. Users do not provision or patch database servers, and tables can scale automatically, including to zero in on-demand mode. Primary keys and global or local secondary indexes provide ways to query data. Global tables support multi-Region, multi-active operation; AWS says they are designed for up to 99.999% availability. The database also supports native vector search for similarity searches and agent memory use cases. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by default, and IAM policies can restrict access to specific items and attributes. Point-in-time recovery provides continuous, per-second backups and restoration within a configured period of 1 to 35 days. A free tier is listed with 25 WCUs, 25 RCUs, and 25 GB of storage per Region and payer account, among other limits. On-demand capacity is billed per request consumed; provisioned capacity is billed for specified capacity even if usage is lower.

Redis Insight

Redis Insight is a free developer tool for building, debugging, managing, and visualizing Redis data through a graphical interface and command line. Its Browser supports create, read, update, and delete operations, batch work, filtering, slow-log inspection, command profiling, and database analysis. Workbench provides Redis commands with syntax highlighting and autocomplete, including schema-aware assistance for Redis Search. Redis Copilot answers general Redis questions and helps construct search queries in natural language using the user’s data context. The tool connects to Redis Open Source, Redis Software, Redis Cloud, Azure Managed Redis, Azure Cache for Redis, and Redis deployments on AWS or GCP; it also supports RDI pipelines. It can run in a browser, as a desktop app, in Docker or Kubernetes, or on Amazon EC2. Custom visualization plugins are supported. Sensitive information, including database passwords and Workbench history, is stored locally; Docker users can configure an encryption key. Telemetry is opt-in, and Redis says collected telemetry is anonymized. The API is documented as available only when Redis Insight runs in Docker.
