In their own words

Amazon Redshift

Amazon Redshift is a cloud data warehouse for SQL analytics across data warehouses and data lakes. It offers provisioned and serverless deployments, with options AWS says can scale to petabytes and support thousands of concurrent users. Redshift runs read-only SQL queries on Apache Iceberg, Apache Hudi, and Delta Lake tables, plus open file formats in Amazon S3. Zero-ETL integrations connect with Amazon Aurora, Amazon RDS, Amazon DynamoDB, and enterprise applications. Streaming ingestion connects with Amazon Kinesis Data Streams and Amazon Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka. Listed integrations include QuickSight, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, Alteryx, Jupyter Notebook, Informatica, dbt, MicroStrategy, and Looker. The Data API supports AWS SDK languages including Python, Go, Java, Node.js, PHP, Ruby, and C++. Security includes encryption, row- and column-level controls, and dynamic masking. It is paid, has no free plan, offers a free trial, and starts at $0.54 per month for Provisioned or $1.50 per month for Serverless.

DbVisualizer

DbVisualizer is a desktop database client for accessing, exploring, and optimizing databases. It connects to any database with a JDBC driver and provides extended support for Oracle, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Snowflake, Elasticsearch, IBM Db2, and SQLite. Its tools include data editing, a visual query builder, query history, SSH tunneling, and exports to CSV, HTML, SQL, XML, XLS, XLSX, JSON, and TXT. The optional AI Assistant can answer database questions, explain query errors, and analyze code; its AI features are enabled only when users opt in. DbVisualizer runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux, but not on phones or tablets. The client runs within infrastructure controlled by the customer, and DbVis Software says it does not store, process, or access customer data. The free edition includes a User Guide and community access; full support requires Pro. Free is free. Pro with 60 day support is $199 a year, and Pro with premium support is $229 a year. Pro grants perpetual use of versions released during the subscription term; updates require an active subscription.
