Weblate

Weblate is an open-source localization platform for connecting version-control repositories with translation work. New strings can move to translators, and completed translations can return to version control alongside project code. Translation context includes screenshots, nearby strings, source references, shared glossaries, and translation memory. Teams can use customizable quality checks, discussion, and review to catch problems. Machine translation and LLM suggestions are optional; human acceptance and reviewer approval can be required. Weblate supports website and document translation and lists formats such as Android and Apple iOS strings, .NET resources, gettext, JSON, XLIFF, YAML, and WebExtension JSON. Integrations include repositories, an API, add-ons, and import and export tools. It can be deployed using pip or Docker, with guides for OpenShift and Kubernetes. Platforms listed are API, Linux, self-hosted, and web. Self-hosting is free; cloud plans start at €47/mo, and cloud plans include a 14-day trial. Cloud hosting is priced by hosted strings, counting the source language.
