Overview

Amego brings a branded event app, an embedded website companion and web-based event administration into one platform. It is best suited to teams running larger conferences, trade shows or corporate events that need attendee engagement and sponsor tools alongside event content management. Its breadth is useful, but the attendee caps on its paid plans make plan fit an important part of the decision.

Key features

Engagement and networking

The app combines personalized agendas with push notifications, polls, surveys, Q&A, gamification and interactive maps. Attendees can network, message and arrange meetings, while sponsors can capture leads. That range supports an event experience beyond a static schedule; teams focused mainly on registration or ticketing should compare the full event workflow before choosing it.

AI guidance

Sidekick can nudge attendees, recommend options, help build schedules and match attendees. Beacon-aware cards can respond to location, extending guidance into the venue. Sidekick Spark brings an event-content-trained companion to a website through a one-line embed, giving organizers another place to guide attendees.

AI credits are shared across Sidekick surfaces and events. Unused credits roll over to the next contracted year, but overages are billed monthly, so high-use events need to account for consumption across the whole account rather than treating each surface as a separate allowance.

Administration, distribution and trust

Amego Admin is a web-based CMS for content, branding, communications, attendee data and analytics. Amego lists integrations including RainFocus, Cvent, Swoogo, Pointr, Voxo, Wicket, Google Cloud and AWS. Branded apps are published under each customer’s own Apple and Google app-store accounts, which gives organizations control of their app presence but entails using those accounts.

Amego states that it is SOC 2 Type II audited and aligned with GDPR requirements; it says sensitive data is encrypted in transit and at rest and access is role-based. It also says customer attendee data is not sold or mined and is not used to train external models. These assurances matter to enterprise event teams handling attendee information.

Pricing

Spark is free and includes 1,000 AI credits. Its description calls it suitable for events of 50 attendees or fewer, despite the plan's stated unlimited-attendee allowance; the practical audience fit is therefore narrower than that technical allowance suggests.

Base costs 2,499.00 USD per year and includes 5,000 AI credits, 500 attendees and unlimited events. It is the entry paid tier for organizers whose events exceed Spark’s stated audience fit but remain within 500 attendees. Elevate costs 4,999.00 USD per year, with 10,000 AI credits, 750 attendees and unlimited events; it suits larger programs needing more headroom, though the price increase does not remove the attendee ceiling. Enterprise has custom pricing and offers unlimited attendees, custom SSO, regionalized hosting and custom integrations, making it the relevant tier when those needs outweigh the published plan caps.

Optional purchases include Lead Scanning at 199.00 USD per device, Branded Container App at 2,499.00 USD per app, and Amego Studio at 2,499.00 USD for app design customization. Custom SSO is also offered as an add-on with custom pricing. Standard support includes in-admin chat, help documents, community access, product updates and email support with a 24-hour response. Premier support adds on-call live-event help with a stated 15-minute response time during 9am–9pm ET; teams that need live-event coverage should weigh that support level in their budget.

Platforms

Amego supports Android, iOS and web. Its branded apps are distributed through the customer’s own Apple and Google app-store accounts. The listed capacity is 1,000 attendees, while the plan allowances are 500 for Base and 750 for Elevate; Enterprise is the plan with unlimited attendees.

Who it's for

Amego is aimed at event marketers, organizers, internal event teams, agencies, sponsors and exhibitors, particularly those running conferences, trade shows, corporate events, global tours or other large-scale experiences. It makes the most sense when a team will use the mix of mobile engagement, AI guidance, administration and sponsor lead capture. Smaller events may find Spark sufficient, while teams above 750 attendees need Enterprise rather than assuming the general 1,000-attendee capacity applies to every plan.

Pros and cons

Strong event experience toolkit: agendas, engagement, networking, maps and sponsor lead capture sit alongside the app.
Two attendee touchpoints: Sidekick Spark can be embedded on a website as well as offering AI guidance in the broader event experience.
Clear paid-plan allowances: Base and Elevate state attendee and AI-credit limits, with unlimited events on both.
Paid tiers still cap attendance: Base stops at 500 and Elevate at 750 attendees, so larger events require custom-priced Enterprise.
AI usage can incur overages: credits are shared across events and Sidekick surfaces, and excess use is billed monthly.
Branded distribution uses customer accounts: teams must publish apps under their own Apple and Google accounts.

Alternatives

Event Mobile App Software is the category guide for comparing event-app options. Choose HEPCon instead when a free, offline-first agenda and personal scheduling for programmes under 50 contributions is the closer fit. Eventee is worth considering for pay-per-event plans with stated limits of one event, 200 attendees per event and three team members on Essential.

Cvent may suit teams seeking a broader event platform that lets them license only the solutions they need; its registration product can be tried for free. Grip Onsite is another paid event-app option to compare. Nunify is an alternative with a stated Essential price of 24.00 USD per month, billed quarterly or annually, and unlimited events and registrations.

PheedLoop is an alternative with a Core Event Dashboard priced at 950.00 USD per month for 100–499 users. run.events is worth comparing for conferences with up to 500 attendees: its Essentials — Conference plan is 4,300.00 EUR per year and includes audience management, a mobile app and check-in and badging. xCatalyst Event App is another paid app option to evaluate.

Verdict

Choose Amego for a multi-event program that needs attendee engagement, AI guidance, sponsor lead capture and centralized web administration in a branded app experience. Its strongest case is the combination of tools across app, website and organizer workflows; look elsewhere if your event exceeds the paid tiers’ attendee caps and you do not want custom pricing, or if shared AI-credit overages are a poor fit.
