WordWeb

WordWeb is an English dictionary and thesaurus for definitions, synonyms, examples, and translations, with one-click lookup in Windows programs. The free version lists 160,000 root words and 230,000 word senses, plus basic AI suggestions and translations. The maker says WordWeb works offline; contextual AI definitions and translations are available online. WordWeb also offers audio pronunciations, usage examples, and web reference tabs such as Wikipedia. Pro adds wildcard and full-text search, anagram solving, custom glossaries, adding new words, and custom web references. Optional Oxford, Chambers, and Collins dictionaries are available. The maker links to iPhone, iPad, and Android apps, and lists Windows and macOS support. The free version costs nothing. WordWeb Pro is $1.50 a month billed yearly ($18/Yr), WordWeb Pro Bundle is $2.42 a month billed yearly ($29/Yr), and US Reference Bundle is $4.08 a month billed yearly ($49/Yr). Personal licenses cover up to two personal computers, or one computer with more than one user; network use requires special licensing.
