In their own words
AMLForms
AMLForms is a cloud AML compliance platform for onboarding, screening, verification, risk assessment, and ongoing monitoring. Its digital KYC forms use templates and conditional questions, letting clients complete forms and upload documents from any device. A no-code builder supports required fields, approvals, reviews, file uploads, and in-form or integrated e-signatures. Screening covers sanctions, politically exposed persons, and adverse media across more than 1,200 stated data sources. Checks include government IDs, biometric likeness and liveness, business verification, beneficial ownership information, and credit checks. Configurable transaction rules and risk context surface unusual activity, trigger alerts, and create cases for auditable investigations. Teams can export client files and histories. AMLForms says it is built for Canadian reporting entities and aligns with FINTRAC guidance. It describes encryption, role-based permissions, configurable retention, and SOC 2 Type II accreditation.
Tazama
Tazama is an open-source platform for monitoring transactions in real time for fraud and money-laundering typologies. It evaluates current transaction information together with historical participant behavior, applies configurable rules and thresholds, and can block high-risk payments or send alerts for investigation. Rule Studio gives analysts visual rule building, transaction replay, and review before deployment. Connection Studio and DEMS map and ingest message formats, including ISO 20022 payment messages. Investigators manage alerts through triage, assignment, investigation, filing, and closure in a case system that records decisions. BIAR combines detection and case results in a lakehouse with dashboards and calibration notebooks. Studio changes, case actions, triage decisions, and workflow transitions are audited. Docker Compose supports evaluation on one machine; production guides cover on-premises Kubernetes, EKS, GKE, and AKS. The software has no license charge, but hosting, implementation, and support require resources.
