In their own words

aMule

aMule is a free, GPL-licensed peer-to-peer file-sharing client for the eD2k and Kademlia networks. It can connect to both at the same time and is compatible at the wire level with eMule and other *Mule clients. Search covers eD2k servers and Kademlia, with filters for type, size, and availability and support for AND, OR, and NOT. ICH and AICH checks can identify and repair damaged download chunks, and shared files can be re-hashed for integrity checks. Remote operation is available through a native GUI, REST API, browser Web UI, command-line tool, and legacy WebUI. Its amuled daemon can run without a graphical display on a server, NAS device, or VPS. Remote connections are encrypted; new installations accept connections only from the local machine, and failed logins are throttled. The software supports Windows, macOS, and Linux, with packages listed for Windows 10/11, macOS 11.0+, and Linux. Blocked ports can greatly reduce performance.

The client supports selective downloads, offers a web interface, and is available in 15 languages. Supported platforms are Windows, macOS, and web browsers. The free BASIC for Web plan is an online torrent downloader. AD-FREE for Web costs $6.95 per year, PRO costs $19.95 per year, and PRO+VPN costs $69.95 per year. Pro adds antivirus scanning and premium support; Pro+VPN includes CyberGhost VPN on five devices.
