Stockpyl
Stockpyl is a free, open-source Python package for inventory optimization and simulation. It covers single-node models including economic order quantity, newsvendor and Wagner-Whitin, alongside methods for multi-echelon inventory optimization under stochastic-service and guaranteed-service models. The package can also simulate multi-echelon systems. Its documented optimization techniques include dynamic programming for Wagner-Whitin and finite-horizon stochastic inventory problems, as well as algorithms for serial networks and acyclical guaranteed-service systems. Stockpyl is distributed through PyPI and installs with `pip install stockpyl`; Python v3.7 or later is required. The project’s documentation includes tutorials and API modules for optimization, simulation and supply-chain data structures. It is listed for API and Linux use and released under the MIT License. The listed plan is free. The package credits Lawrence V. Snyder as its author, and directs users with questions or problems to GitHub Issues, with email as an alternative.
