Anara
Anara is an AI tool for scientific workflows, helping researchers search literature, understand sources, synthesize findings and write cited work. Answers link citations to exact passages in source documents. Supported materials include PDFs, Word documents, PowerPoints, spreadsheets, images, audio and video, and a conversation can cover up to 10,000 documents in a library. Connectors include Zotero, Mendeley, Google Drive, Notion, OneDrive, Dropbox, Slack, Teams, PubMed and ClinicalTrials.gov. A scientific writing editor offers citation suggestions and LaTeX support. Access is listed for the web, macOS, iOS and Chrome extension. Anara states that it is SOC 2 Type II and ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified and GDPR and HIPAA compliant. Data is processed and stored in the United States; EU-only data residency is not available. Paid plans start at $10/user/mo (annual).
AskYourPDF
AskYourPDF lets users ask questions about documents, get summaries, embed an AI agent on a website, and fill PDF forms with supplied data. Document chat works with uploaded PDFs or text documents; the website agent can draw on web pages and PDF, TXT, PPT, PPTX, EPUB, and RTF files. The site says that agent answers only from the provided sources. To complete a form, users pair a fillable or non-fillable PDF with data from another PDF, a text file, or pasted content. The embedded agent works with plain HTML, WordPress, Webflow, Wix, Shopify, Squarespace, React, Vue, and Next.js. AskYourPDF also offers a Chrome extension and Zotero and ChatGPT plugins. Its API supports PDF data extraction, document chatbots, searching and navigating PDF contents, and conversations across multiple documents. The Free plan allows one document per day, 50 questions per day, and three conversations per day, with 100 pages per document and a 15MB upload cap. Premium is listed at $11.99 a year, billed per month and billed yearly.
