Notable limitAngular says the CLI requires Node.js for local installation and execution; its browser tutorial offers an online introduction without local setup.Hygen does not discover templates down folder trees out of the box, which the FAQ says preserves its startup performance.
SecurityAngular sanitizes and escapes untrusted values inserted into the DOM through template bindings or interpolation; its security guide says it does not cover application-level authentication and authorization. The opened maker pages do not state security or compliance certifications.
SupportAngular's contribution guide directs general support questions to Stack Overflow and its community Discord, and says GitHub issues are for bugs and feature requests. The maker site links users to Stack Overflow as its community resource.

In their own words

Angular CLI

Angular CLI is a free, open-source command-line tool for scaffolding, developing, testing, building, deploying, and maintaining Angular applications. Published on npm as @angular/cli, it provides the ng command. The ng new command creates a workspace and starter application, and a workspace can contain multiple applications and libraries. For local development, ng serve watches files, rebuilds the app, and reloads changes. Builds can compile, optimize, bundle, and minify projects using documented esbuild or webpack builders; schematics automate generating and modifying source files. Deployment builders let ng deploy connect to Firebase Hosting, Vercel, Netlify, GitHub Pages, and Amazon Cloud S3. The CLI also supports end-to-end test builders, Tailwind CSS setup, and an MCP server with tools for code generation, workspace analysis, builds, and tests. Angular documents installation through npm, pnpm, Yarn, or Bun. Local installation and use require Node.js on an active or maintenance LTS release. Angular major releases are typically supported for 24 months, split into 12 months of active support and 12 months of LTS.

Hygen

Hygen is a free, open-source code generator that runs in a project and creates code from templates. Its generators are self-contained, with folder structure defining the commands, and it looks for a local `_templates` directory so templates can stay beside project code. Built-in scaffolds help create generators, including through prompts. Templates use EJS and frontmatter, where a `to` value can set the generated file destination. Generators accept command-line arguments, interactive or multi-step prompts, file creation, and content injection into existing files. Templates can also run shell commands, while actions can select matching files with strings or regular expressions. A documented `--dry` option supports test-running generators. Hygen was built for React, Redux, and Node.js boilerplate but can be used with any technology. It runs on Linux, macOS, and Windows, is MIT licensed, and is distributed through Homebrew, npm, Yarn, npx, and standalone binaries.
