In their own words

Anima

Anima turns Figma designs, text prompts and website URLs into editable web apps with production-ready code. It can import several pages from a live website into one app, connecting routes and navigation. Generated output includes HTML or React, with CSS, Tailwind, inline styles, TypeScript and JavaScript options. Its Playground includes a built-in database and authentication using email/password or Google sign-in. Projects can publish to a custom domain, use an Anima URL, or export React, HTML or Tailwind code. Plugins and integrations support Figma, Adobe XD and Sketch, alongside tools such as VS Code, Cursor, Vercel, Firebase and Contentful. An API and SDK automate code generation, and an MCP connection supports AI coding agents. Anima states SOC 2 Type II and GDPR compliance, AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.2-or-better API security and United States data storage. A free plan is available; Enterprise costs $500 a month when billed annually.

Calque

Calque is a free, MIT-licensed tool that turns a PNG or JPEG website screenshot into HTML and CSS by measuring pixels. It can produce a self-contained HTML file or JSON measurements, including colors, type scale, weights, spacing, container width, gutters, and corner radii. It also identifies sections, columns, cards, buttons, alignment, and reading order, and can reconstruct vertical gradients. With the assets option, it crops photographs from the screenshot for use in the output. Its check command renders the result in an installed Chrome-family browser and compares it pixel by pixel with the screenshot. Calque is packaged as a Claude skill that provides measurements for Claude to use when writing project code. The documented workflow uses Tesseract for OCR; Docker is optional. The maker says it makes no model call or API request and works offline after OCR data is cached. It handles one screenshot, not a whole site, and cannot identify an exact typeface. Icons become placeholders, and photo crops retain screenshot resolution and any overlaid text.
