In their own words

AnimateDiff

AnimateDiff is a free, open-source module that turns many community text-to-image models into animation generators without additional training. Its main branch targets Stable Diffusion 1.5, with a separate branch for Stable Diffusion XL. MotionLoRA adapts motion modules for patterns such as zooming and rolling, while SparseCtrl uses sparse RGB images or sketches to guide animation content. The project runs locally: install dependencies with pip and run its animation scripts, which save generated samples in a samples folder. A local Gradio demo runs at localhost:7860 by default. The project points to official Diffusers support and community integrations for Stable Diffusion WebUI and ComfyUI; scripts handle checkpoint downloads automatically. For SDXL beta inference, the project notes a typical need of about 13 GB of VRAM, depending on the model and settings. It lists small flicker and limited general text-to-video quality as limitations, and suggests using images from the same community model for closer style alignment. The repository lists an Apache-2.0 license and says the project is released for academic use.

Krikey AI

Krikey AI creates 3D character animations from text prompts or video uploads, with a browser-based editor for further changes. Users can make talking avatars, customize characters, design poses, and use face animation tools. The editor lets them adjust lip-synced dialogue, backgrounds, expressions, hand gestures, and camera angles. Exports include MP4, GIF, PNG, and FBX files, and teams can edit projects simultaneously in the web editor. Listed integrations and export workflows include Canva, Adobe Express, Unity, Unreal Engine, Godot, Roblox, Blender, Maya, ZBrush, and Omniverse. Krikey says its ElevenLabs integration supports speaking and singing characters in over 20 languages with lip synchronization. The free plan costs nothing and includes 20 one-time credits. Pro costs $15 a month with 165 monthly credits; Teams costs $10 a month with 200 monthly credits per person and a three-person minimum. The animation tool currently covers bipedal characters only. Krikey identifies educators, students, storytellers, businesses, social media teams, marketing agencies, small businesses, and indie game developers among its users.
