In their own words
AnimationMaker
AnimationMaker is a free Linux application for creating animated presentation videos, including YouTube or Vimeo presentations and crowdfunding pitch videos. It supports motion graphics, custom asset uploads, and video export. Projects can be exported as movies, animated GIFs, XML files, or HTML animations. Movie output uses formats supported by FFmpeg, including MPG, MP4, and AVI. HTML output uses SVG and GSAP, and the exported SVG can be embedded in an HTML page. The maker offers the latest Linux release at no cost. The repository lists DEB and RPM installers; release 1.9.2 includes packages for Ubuntu 18.04 LTS and Fedora 34. Build instructions use Qt and provide command-line steps for Debian or Ubuntu. The idea came from Adobe Edge, which is no longer available. Feature requests can be emailed to [email protected]. The contact section names Olaf Japp and gives a Berlin, Germany mailing address. The listed plan is free.
Decks.Studio
Decks.Studio turns a sentence, file, link, or voice note into an editable deck or A4 document. Users can refine a result by chatting with it and undo individual AI changes with one tap. Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides files can be imported and converted into an on-brand deck or document. Live Present lets an audience follow slides in a browser using a join code, without an app or account. Shared decks can be password-protected, configured to allow or block PDF downloads, and have access revoked immediately. Insights show who opened a deck, how long they stayed, and which slide held or lost attention. Exports include print-ready PDFs, editable PowerPoint decks, Word documents, live links, and narrated MP4 video with an AI voiceover. E-signatures use an individual signing link and produce a signed PDF with a tamper-proof audit trail. The free plan allows three decks a month; Pro costs $24 a month. The iOS and Android apps are marked as coming soon.
