AnthemScore vs PianoConvert

AnthemScore converts audio into sheet music, PDF, or MIDI using AI. Its desktop app uses machine learning to identify notes, percussion, beats, and instruments, then lets users adjust notes, measures, signatures, and tempo. Playback can be slowed without changing pitch. Scores can be formatted for an instrument's key, range, and staff, including standard notation or tablature. AnthemScore Web accepts audio or MIDI and offers PDF, MusicXML, and MIDI output; listed inputs include MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC, OGG, MP4, and MID, plus microphone recording. Desktop downloads are available for Windows, macOS, and Linux and require a 64-bit laptop or desktop. The desktop FAQ lists MP3, WAV, FLAC, OGG, WavPack, and MusePack support, but excludes DRM-protected files. The free web plan has a 14-day full-song trial, then permits unlimited 30-second clips. Paid web plans are $8.33 a month and $24.99 a month, billed annually; desktop purchases range from $29, paid once to $99, paid once.

PianoConvert is a web service that turns audio or YouTube videos into piano sheet music. Its transcription mode reproduces an audible piano performance, while arrangement creates a playable piano version of a song. Inputs include YouTube links, MP3, WAV, MP4, and AAC files, plus direct browser recording. PianoConvert says it identifies polyphony, tempo, measures, and clefs automatically. After conversion, users can preview and edit the score, then export it as PDF, MIDI, or MusicXML. Those formats are described as compatible with MuseScore, Dorico, Sibelius, Finale, Cubase, and Logic. The maker says an average-complexity score takes about two minutes to convert. For transcription, piano must be clearly audible; dense mixes or poor-quality recordings can reduce fidelity. Free use covers only the first 30 seconds of each song, while full scores require a subscription. Plans range from free to €14 a year, billed annually. PianoConvert was founded in 2017 and is based in Cergy, France.
