In their own words
AOC G-Menu
AOC G-Menu is a free Windows portal for customizing supported AOC gaming monitors and peripherals, including keyboards, mice, mouse mats and headsets. Its settings include keyboard macros and mouse sensitivity adjustments. Light FX lets users choose effects, colors, pulsation and brightness for compatible devices, while Light FX Sync coordinates RGB effects across them.
Users can save multiple game profiles and switch between them, or associate a profile with an executable so its application runs when that profile is selected. Discover lets users find and share game profiles. The Macro interface supports recording, editing, importing and exporting macros. G-Menu checks for software updates from its home page and downloads available updates in the background; it cannot check without a network connection. The interface offers only connected devices. The manual lists Windows 7 or above, 500 MB of free hard disk space and an internet connection as requirements. AOC provides a Windows download and a manual.
MonitorControl
MonitorControl is a free macOS app for controlling external display brightness, volume, and contrast while showing native macOS on-screen displays. It supports DDC on external monitors, Apple protocols on Apple and built-in displays, gamma-table dimming, and shade control for AirPlay, Sidecar, DisplayLink, and other virtual screens. Brightness can transition smoothly or dim to full black. Standard Apple brightness and media keys work, and custom shortcuts are available. Multiple displays can be synchronized with one slider or shortcuts, including copying brightness changes from built-in or Apple displays to non-Apple screens. Dozens of customization options are provided, with more under “Show advanced settings.” MonitorControl is free, with no trial, and runs on macOS. Version 4.0.0 lists Catalina 10.15 as its baseline; full functionality is available on macOS 11 Big Sur or newer. The latest listed release is v4.4.0.
