In their own words
AppCleaner
AppCleaner is a free macOS utility for uninstalling unwanted applications and finding the files they leave behind. Drag an app into its window to see related files distributed across the system, review the list, and choose what to delete. Version 3.7 improves searches in Application Scripts and asks for Full Disk Access; without that permission, some files may remain. It can locate files associated with system apps, but cannot remove those apps. Downloads cover several macOS generations: version 3.7 for macOS 15 and later, 3.6.8 for macOS 10.14 up to 15.6, 3.6 for macOS 10.13, and 3.4 for macOS 10.10 up to 10.12. Version 3.6 added native Apple M1 support. AppCleaner can detect applications inside disk images and offer to remove the image file instead. Its login item appears in System Settings, and a preference can hide protected apps. The download page also notes a Sparkle updater security fix in version 3.7 and HTTPS updates since version 3.2.
Geek Uninstaller
Geek Uninstaller is a Windows utility for removing unwanted software. Its free edition runs as a portable EXE on 32-bit and 64-bit Windows, including Windows 11, 10, 8.1, 8 and 7, and requires administrator permissions. After a standard uninstall, it scans for leftover files and registry items. Force Removal is intended for stubborn or broken programs that cannot be removed normally. The free edition can also uninstall Microsoft Store apps on Windows 8, 8.1, 10 and 11, and its interface is translated into more than 40 languages. The Free plan is free, for personal use, and includes no support. Batch uninstall and installation monitoring are not available in the free edition. Paid offerings are presented under different names and terms: Geek Uninstaller PRO is listed at $24.95 a month with a lifetime license, while Uninstall Tool Standard License is $24.95 as a one-time purchase and the Portable License is $39.95 as a one-time purchase. Uninstall Tool, developed by CrystalIDEA Software based on Thomas Koen's code, adds installation monitoring, startup-program management, batch removal and technical support. It can be tried free for 30 days.
