Overview

AppClose joins everyday logistics with tools for preserving communications and involving family-law professionals. Messages, calendars, expenses and records sync across mobile and web, so parents can manage coordination from a browser or phone rather than splitting it across separate services.

The emphasis on permanent records will suit parents who value a retrievable account of arrangements and conversations. It may feel unnecessarily formal for families seeking only a lightweight shared calendar or casual chat.

Key features

Messages are time-stamped, encrypted, permanent and unalterable; users can search and export conversations. That combination makes communication easier to retrieve later, though permanence leaves little room for treating the thread as informal conversation. With mutual consent, audio and video calls can be recorded, transcribed and securely stored, with no cap on call count.

Parents can choose from 15 parenting schedule templates or create their own schedules and shared calendar events. The integrated ipayou service supports reimbursements, child support and shared expenses, alongside expense tracking and document storage. Together, these tools make AppClose useful for handling both the plan and its financial follow-through.

AppClose Solo lets a user send requests, events and expenses to non-users by text or email while keeping a log. This lowers the barrier when only one parent is ready to use the service, though it does not turn the other person into an AppClose user. Attorneys, guardians ad litem, mediators and other professionals can connect through AppClose Pro with appropriate consents.

Certified electronic business-record exports carry a unique record ID and certification timestamp, but are available only in the United States. Two-factor authentication, PIN or biometric lock-screen options and encryption provide security measures; AppClose says it does not sell user data to third parties and uses firewalls and access controls. Its dedicated U.S.-based support team has family-law experience, and the service is localized in eight languages, including English and Spanish.

Pricing

The fee-waiver account costs 0.00 USD per free and is intended for people facing financial hardship and survivors of domestic violence. It provides a route to the service for those who qualify, while the paid plans offer all features without limits or extra payments.

Monthly billing is $7.99 USD per month for Monthly web and $8.99 USD per month for Monthly app. Both include all features on app and web, so the web plan is the less expensive choice for a month-to-month commitment; the app plan costs a dollar more for the same stated scope.

Prepaid annual options are One Year Prepaid web at $83.88 USD per year, equivalent to $6.99 monthly, and One Year app at $98.99 USD per year, approximately $8.25 per month. Both offer full access across app and web; the web option costs less, while the app option trades a higher total price for its plan label rather than a different feature set.

Two Years Prepaid web costs $143.76 USD per year, billed every two years at a $5.99 monthly equivalent. It has the lowest monthly equivalent but requires the longest commitment and is web-branded despite including features on app and web. AppClose also advertises a 60-day trial, giving prospective users time to assess the service before committing.

Platforms

AppClose runs on Android, iOS and the web. AppClose Web brings synced communications, calendars, expenses and records to desktop browsers, which is useful when reviewing or managing family logistics at a computer.

Who it's for

Choose AppClose if co-parents need one place for scheduling, documented communication, shared expenses and payments, or expect to involve legal and family-support professionals. Its eight-language localization may also help families who prefer a language beyond English.

Look elsewhere if certified electronic records are essential and you are outside the United States, or if a durable, formal message history is not useful to your family. The fee-waiver option is specifically aimed at financial hardship and domestic-violence survivors; other cost-conscious users can compare the paid plans with alternatives that offer free tiers.

Pros and cons

Broad co-parenting toolkit: Scheduling, expense tracking, payments, records and professional connections sit alongside communication, reducing the need to manage these tasks in separate services.
Retrievable communication record: Searchable, exportable messages and consent-based recorded calls support families who need to preserve conversations.
Non-user outreach: Solo can send requests, events and expenses by text or email while keeping a log, easing coordination when the other parent has not joined.
Regional restriction: Certified electronic business-record exports are limited to U.S. users, a material drawback for families elsewhere who need that capability.
Paid plans differ in cost, not stated scope: All include app and web access and all features, so buyers should weigh billing cadence and commitment rather than expect a reduced-feature entry tier.

Verdict

AppClose is a strong choice for co-parents who want communication, planning, money management and durable records under one roof, with the added option to connect family-law professionals. The main reason to choose it is the breadth of its documented workflow; look elsewhere if you need certified records outside the U.S. or would rather avoid a paid plan and formalized communication.
