In their own words
Appetier
Appetier gives restaurants a console for direct online ordering, branded apps, loyalty, marketing, menu management, and POS sync. Customers can order through a restaurant website or app; ordering supports modifiers, upsells, coupons, rewards, saved cards, Apple Pay, and order tracking. Restaurants can start menu setup from their website or a menu photo, which Appetier uses to draft the menu. Native iOS and Android apps can carry the restaurant's logo and include push notifications and reorders. Its integration catalog lists POS systems including Toast, Square, Clover, Lightspeed, Revel, NCR/Aloha, Micros, SpotOn, PAR Brink, and SkyTab. The Sous assistant can read menu photos, draft missing item descriptions, and reply to Google reviews; prices do not change unless the restaurant changes them. Appetier says it is PCI compliant under SAQ A, does not receive or store raw card numbers, and uses PCI DSS Level 1 payment partners. Growth is free with a 5% direct-order fee capped at $199 per location/month; Essential is $2,388/year per location, and Enterprise is $499 a month per location.
Ressto
Ressto is restaurant ordering software for web and mobile channels, with delivery ordering, POS integration, and branded iOS and Android apps. Customers can order through restaurant websites, apps, QR codes, Facebook, Instagram, and kiosks; ordering also works on tablets. Loyalty, marketing, delivery, and integrations are included in every plan, and Ressto lists a 0% commission on orders across all plans. The Basic plan is free forever and does not require a credit card. It allows up to 100 orders per month, 200 menu items, 10 QR codes, one staff account, and one restaurant. Growth costs $39 a month per restaurant and supports up to 20 restaurants. Scale costs $99 a month per restaurant and lists unlimited restaurants. Both paid plans include unlimited orders, menu items, QR codes, and staff accounts. Applicable taxes are excluded from paid-plan billing. US payment methods include Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and digital wallets via Stripe. Customers can cancel or downgrade at any time. The service supports multi-location management, and Ressto says most US restaurants can begin accepting orders within 24 hours of signing up.
