Overview

Collegedunia combines college and course search with information about admissions and study options. The website covers more than 20,000 colleges and 6,000 courses across management, engineering, medicine, arts, and other streams. Its app describes coverage of 60,000+ colleges, 350,000+ courses, and 450+ entrance exams. That makes it a broad place to begin a search across web and mobile, though the different website and app counts are worth keeping in mind when narrowing choices.

Search includes programs, international colleges, admission requirements, and financial-aid information. Collegedunia does not take applications or registrations for institutions, so applicants must complete those steps directly with the college.

Key features

Compare and shortlist

The app supports college comparison by fee structure, rankings, cutoff trends, and placements. Considering cost and admission prospects alongside placements can help students build a more practical shortlist than rankings alone would allow. Personalized course recommendations based on interests and goals offer another way to narrow a large catalogue, but students should still check each institution's requirements before making a decision.

Admission and exam preparation

A college predictor estimates admission chances from exam scores, giving applicants a quick way to assess possible options. The app also provides entrance-exam alerts, mock tests, syllabuses, and expert tips for exams including JEE, NEET, CAT, and CLAT. These tools make Collegedunia particularly relevant during exam preparation; they complement, rather than replace, applying with the institution.

Institution services and data

Collegedunia also offers institutions a lead-generation platform focused on collecting highly motivated candidates. Its privacy policy says some features may use third-party APIs such as YouTube. The company says it uses physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards compliant with Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000. Google Play states that data is encrypted in transit and users can request deletion of collected data. App support is available at info@collegedunia.com.

Pricing

Free — free. The free plan includes all features, including exam alerts, mock tests, and college comparison. With no paid tier identified, there is no stated feature downgrade to weigh against a subscription; students can use the core discovery and preparation tools without paying. The important limit is functional, not financial: Collegedunia does not process applications or registrations for colleges.

Platforms

Collegedunia is available on web, Android, and iOS, so students can search and prepare from a browser or mobile device. Its international college search and mobile access also suit users comparing options across locations, while admission and exam tools are especially useful to applicants working through entrance requirements.

Who it's for

The service says it serves students, parents, and educators, including Class 12 students and working professionals. It is a good fit for people who want one free starting point for course discovery, college comparisons, financial-aid information, and entrance-exam preparation. It is less suitable for anyone expecting a platform to submit or register an application on their behalf.

Pros and cons

Pros: College comparisons include fees, rankings, cutoff trends, and placements, helping applicants weigh several practical factors together.
Pros: Exam alerts, mock tests, syllabuses, and tips cover major entrance exams such as JEE, NEET, CAT, and CLAT.
Pros: The free plan includes all features, and access spans web, Android, and iOS.
Cons: Applicants must apply or register directly with institutions; Collegedunia does not handle that step.
Cons: Website and app catalogue figures differ, so users should not assume the same stated coverage across both.

Look elsewhere if you need a platform to submit an application or want a service built around a more specific planning scope.
