MyMajors
MyMajors’ College Major Assessment helps students explore study options by evaluating courses, grades, GPA, interests, and work preferences. The assessment also considers academic achievement, aptitude, and preferences, takes about 15 minutes, and returns a top ten list of best-fit majors with college and career matches. Students can use the assessment free, and high schools and counselors have a separate free program. Colleges and universities can customize programs with their own majors, career information, branding, reporting, and access settings. Institutional staff can review results in a web dashboard and download data as CSV. The service can support LMS authentication, Shibboleth, ADFC, LDAP, API data retrieval, and CRM auto-imports. Institutional use cases include admissions, orientation, advising, and retention; institutional pricing depends on campus usage and first-time freshman enrollment, so a quote is required. MyMajors is available on Android, iOS, and the web, and is headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri. It says it does not share personal information for third-party marketing without consent, while noting it cannot guarantee absolute online security.
