In their own words

Apple Keynote

Apple Keynote is presentation software for creating, editing, viewing, and sharing slides. Its core functions, including real-time collaboration, do not require a subscription. The app includes Apple-designed themes, illustration tools, and a customizable presenter display; on Mac, presenter notes and controls can appear in a separate window during video conferences. Multiple presenters can take turns controlling a slideshow. Keynote imports and edits Microsoft PowerPoint presentations and exports to PowerPoint, PDF, HTML, movies, and image files. Presentations can be shared publicly or with specific people through iCloud or Box, and iCloud-shared files can be up to 4 GB. Keynote is available on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro, with PC access through iCloud.com. Apple Creator Studio costs what you agree with the maker, billed monthly, and adds premium content and features such as presenter-note generation and slide layout cleanup. Some Creator Studio features require an Apple Intelligence-capable device. Writing Tools and Image Playground provide text and image assistance.

Google Slides

Google Slides is a browser-based presentation tool for creating and delivering presentations without installation. Anyone with a Google Account can create slides, and the service runs on the web, Android, and iOS. Users can start with templates and add videos, animations, transitions, GIFs, and stickers. Gemini in Slides can summarize content, generate slides from prompts and Drive content, and create images. Collaborators can edit live, comment, use live pointers, and control who can view, comment on, or edit a presentation. Slides can also be accessed, created, and edited offline. It can import or directly edit Microsoft PowerPoint presentations and import Canva presentations online. Users can present through Google Meet, add speaker spotlight, or record presentations on some Workspace plans. Google offers a free plan; paid plans start at $7/user/mo, with a 14-day trial. Some capabilities require a Workspace plan or add-on. Google says Slides data is encrypted by default and describes additional security and privacy controls.
