Apple Music Playlist Playground
Apple Music Playlist Playground creates playlists from a song or a prompt describing a mood, genre, activity, or era. It requires an Apple Music subscription, Sync Library turned on, and an internet connection. After a playlist is generated, users can rename it, reorder tracks, refine it with additional searches, add suggested songs, and save the edited result. The listed playlist limit is 25 tracks. Playlist Playground is in beta and available only in English in the United States to Apple Music subscribers aged 13 or older. Apple documents support for iPhone, iPad, and Android devices. It is part of Apple Music, which provides access to over 100 million songs; paid plans include ad-free listening and offline downloads, and the service also offers Spatial Audio and lossless audio. Listed monthly plans are Student at $6.99 a month, Individual at $11.99 a month, Family at $19.99 a month, and Apple One at $21.95 a month. Student requires verified student status, while Family supports sharing with up to five people.
BBC Sounds
BBC Sounds is a free audio service available exclusively to listeners in the UK. It can be used in a web browser or through BBC apps for iOS and Android. Most programs are available on demand, and each episode page indicates how long the episode remains available. Some content, including BBC Radio 4 and BBC World Service English, can be heard without signing in. The latest version of the mobile app supports podcast downloads for offline listening. Availability is location-dependent: BBC Sounds closed to listeners based outside the UK on 21 July 2025. Outside the UK, BBC Radio 4, BBC World Service English, and thousands of hours of podcasts are available through BBC.com and the BBC app; international radio on-demand availability varies because of content rights and available resources. The app requires Android 7.0 or later, or iOS 16.1 or later. For browser listening, the BBC recommends current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Microsoft Edge. AirPlay is supported for streaming documentaries from iOS devices to compatible Apple TVs; the help page says Chromecast options are unavailable at that time.
