In their own words
AppNeta
AppNeta is Broadcom’s monitoring product for real-time, end-user-focused visibility across networks, applications, and locations. It combines active synthetic tests with passive packet visibility across on-premises, cloud, hybrid, and ISP environments. Delivery Monitoring measures network paths and runs diagnostics; Experience Monitoring simulates user actions and API or web-service requests through browser and HTTP workflows; Usage Monitoring uses deep packet inspection, a library of more than 2,000 application definitions, and packet capture. Monitoring Points can be deployed and managed remotely for distributed sites. Named use cases include SD-WAN and ISP validation. Intelligent Alarms can send filtered high-severity alerts through webhooks to systems such as ServiceNow, while data can integrate with DX NetOps. SaaS documentation states encrypted communications and packet captures, U.S. data processing, annual SOC 2 Type II audits, semiannual penetration tests, and a 99% availability target.
ManageEngine OpManager
ManageEngine OpManager monitors and manages network infrastructure from a self-hosted unified console. It tracks device and server metrics including CPU, memory, disk use, latency, packet loss, and response time. For traffic and bandwidth analysis, it supports NetFlow, sFlow, J-Flow, and IPFIX. Severity-based alerts and automated troubleshooting through scripts or workflow actions address faults. The product page says OpManager supports more than 11,000 device types from over 450 vendors. Integrations include ServiceNow, Microsoft Teams, OpenAI, Jira, Grafana, Slack, ServiceDesk Plus, webhooks, and REST APIs. It can use a locally deployed Ollama runtime for on-premises AI processing without data leaving the network. Access controls include custom roles, password policies, Active Directory, SAML, and two-factor authentication; listed security measures include SSL encryption and file integrity monitoring. The perpetual Free Edition monitors three devices. A 30-day full-featured trial has no device cap. Standard starts at $95 a year for 10 devices, Professional at $145 a year for 10 devices, and Enterprise at $4,595 a year for 250 devices.
