In their own words
Appocalypsis
Appocalypsis is a web product for managing website widgets and banners. Campaign formats include pop-ups, banners, modals, slide-ins, footer and top bars, inline widgets, and full- or half-page widgets. Display triggers include mouse exit, page entry, inline placement and a click on an element. Audience targeting and lead-capture forms are listed, along with analytics about widget progress and a set of GDPR tools. The product uses widget-specific cookies to track display behavior. The Appo_XXXX cookie helps determine whether a widget should appear again, with its duration governed by the widget’s “Show every” setting and ranging from immediately to two years. The AppoLC_XXXX cookie records that a widget has completed its lifecycle and expires after two years. The site also lists cookies associated with Google Analytics, Hotjar, Pushcrew and Albacross, and says it collects standard internet log information and visitor behavior patterns in a way that does not personally identify visitors. Members can contact support through the Support Center, where questions receive priority. The contact form accepts questions, problems, feature suggestions and investment enquiries. Its free plan has limited functionality.
Getsitecontrol
Getsitecontrol is a no-code marketing platform combining popups, forms, surveys, email campaigns, and automated emails. Its widget builder provides email opt-in forms, promotional popups, surveys, targeting, templates, CSS editing, statistics, and A/B testing. Email features include contact lists, audience segments, tags, broadcasts, and automated workflows. The Free plan costs nothing and includes 10 000 monthly widget views and unlimited contacts; email sending costs $2.00 per 1000 emails. Pro costs $19 a month with 100 000 monthly views, while Pro Max costs $29 a month with unlimited monthly views. Both paid plans include unlimited contacts, with separate email-volume billing at lower listed rates and discounts. Widget views are capped by plan, and widgets stop displaying after the monthly limit until the next cycle. Named integrations include Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Constant Contact, HubSpot, Keap, Intercom, Omnisend, Google Analytics, Google Sheets, and Zapier. All plans include live chat and help-center access. The service runs on the web and as an extension.
