In their own words
Aptabase
Aptabase is an open-source analytics platform for mobile, desktop, and web apps. Its real-time dashboard shows sessions, events, app and operating system versions, devices, and countries. Developers define custom events and may attach string or number properties; Aptabase says it does not track anything automatically. It says it avoids device identifiers, cookies, fingerprints, and long-term user identification, so it cannot provide user-level measures such as monthly active users or per-user retention. Cloud data can be stored in Germany for the EU region or Virginia for the US region, and users can host their own servers. Customers own their analytics data, can export it to CSV, and data is retained for up to five years. Integrations include mobile and web frameworks, desktop app tools, browser extensions, game engines, Python, and C++. The server is licensed under AGPL-3.0 and SDKs under MIT. The free plan is free for up to 20,000 events per month across unlimited apps. Paid monthly plans start at $10 a month for 200,000 events.
Klaritics
Klaritics is a self-hosted, warehouse-native product analytics platform that analyzes product behavior using data in a customer’s existing warehouse. Product, data, and engineering teams can study funnels, retention, user paths, cohorts, dashboards, SQL, and conversion tracking. Klaritics AI handles natural-language questions, behavioral investigations, anomaly identification, recommendations, and summaries. Native connectors are listed for Snowflake, BigQuery, Amazon Redshift, PostgreSQL, and ClickHouse. Data can arrive through SDKs, a batch-capable HTTP API, or streaming with Kafka, Kinesis, or Pub/Sub. Deployments run on Kubernetes, Docker, or bare-metal Linux, with air-gapped Enterprise deployments available. The maker says raw events remain in the customer’s warehouse and aggregated results stay in the customer environment; optional usage telemetry is off by default. Governance includes row-level security, column masking, PII controls, role-based access, and audit logs. Starter is free; Growth and Enterprise use annual licensing.
