In their own words

Aragon AI

Aragon AI turns uploaded selfies into professional headshots, with options to choose attire and backgrounds before generation. Users can review, edit and download the portraits. Editing tools include clothing and background changes, realism enhancement, image extension, pose editing, unblurring and a magic eraser. Individuals can use the service, while teams can invite members, assign headshot credits, track creation status and download portraits individually or in bulk. Team users can set custom backgrounds and attire for consistent portraits; the team product also lists connections to over 8,000 apps and API integration. Aragon says uploaded face data is used to create requested content, not to identify or authenticate people, and can be deleted through account settings or support. Basic and Standard output is 896 × 1088 pixels; Executive output is 1792 × 2176 pixels. The web service has a free plan and one-time paid plans from $44, with commercial use listed.

VRoid Studio

VRoid Studio is a free application for making 3D humanoid avatars for VR and AR content. It runs on Windows and macOS, with an iPad app, and exports models as VRM files. Adjustable controls cover facial features, hairstyles, outfits, shapes, colors, and designs. The texture editor supports layers, drawing directly on 3D models, UV mapping, pressure-sensitive pen tablets, and Apple Pencil on iPad. Hair tools let users draw strokes, tune them with parameters, and set bounce for individual hair sections. Creators can set terms for their own models, textures, and item data, including commercial-use and credit requirements. Linking a VRoid Hub account enables direct model uploads; uploaded characters can be used in integrated games and platforms. The dress-up workflow recommends Unity, VRChat Creator Companion, XWear Packager, and UniVRM for converting or handling related avatar and costume files. Listed requirements are Windows 10/11 and macOS 11, and operation or support is not guaranteed below recommended specifications. The help page says Wacom pen tablets are supported and warns that the iPad app may close during high-load operations.
