Minecraft Development MCP Server

Minecraft Development MCP Server gives AI assistants and development tools ways to inspect Minecraft Java source and mods. It can download, decompile and remap versions on first use, then cache the results for searching and analysis. Its 21 tools cover source code, mappings and registry data, validation, and mod analysis. Developers can validate Mixin code and loader-specific access rules, inspect mod JAR metadata and dependencies, and compare versions at class and AST levels to identify changes. Mapping namespaces include Yarn, Mojmap, Intermediary and obfuscated names. Yarn is available for Minecraft 1.14–1.21.11; versions 26.1 and later support Mojmap, while Yarn is unavailable. Setup is documented for Claude Desktop and Claude Code, with HTTP transport and a standalone CLI also available. Installation options include global npm, npx or a source build. It is free and MIT-licensed, and runs on Windows, macOS and Linux/WSL. Node.js 18 or newer is required, and Java 17 or newer is needed for decompilation and remapping. Its local cache uses about 400–500 MB per Minecraft version.
