Arduino Cloud Editor

Arduino Cloud Editor lets users read, edit, and verify code for Arduino Cloud projects in a browser, including projects set up through Arduino Cloud. Its experimental AI Assistant helps write sketch code and is included across Cloud plans, with different monthly interaction limits. The Free plan costs nothing and includes two Things, five variables per Thing, 25 compilations per day, and 30 AI interactions per month. Annual plan prices listed are $72 a year for Maker, $1,000 a year for Team, and $20 a year for School; Enterprise has no listed price. Physical board connections on Windows, macOS, and Linux require the Arduino Cloud Agent. ChromeOS can create and upload sketches, though board support is limited to compatible boards. Arduino Cloud supports remote code uploads and dashboard sharing with viewer or editor access. Amazon Alexa voice control is available, and the School plan lists Google Classroom integration. Arduino says plan features are subject to fair-use limits, including caps on variables, sketch storage, and sketch files. Maker is intended for personal use; business and school users are directed to corresponding plans.

marimo

marimo is an open-source reactive Python notebook for reproducible experiments, data work, and interactive apps. When a cell runs, dependent cells run as well or are marked stale, helping keep code and outputs consistent. Notebooks are stored as Python files that can be tracked with Git, run as scripts, or reused as modules. Users can build interfaces with sliders, dropdowns, dataframe tables, and selectable plots, then deploy notebooks as interactive web apps or run them in browsers through WebAssembly. SQL cells work with dataframes, databases, CSVs, and Google Sheets, with named backends including Polars, Pandas, PyArrow, DuckDB, SQLite, and Postgres. AI notebook features support OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Ollama, and compatible APIs. marimo has extensions for VS Code and PyCharm, with the VS Code extension also working in Cursor and other VS Code forks. The free hosted option molab provides 4 CPUs, 32 GB RAM, and sessions up to 12 hours; notebooks are public by default. Running notebook code can execute arbitrary code, so the maker advises using trusted notebooks or reviewing code first. The open-source notebook is free.
