In their own words

Argon Chat

Argon Chat is hosted voice chat for gaming communities, combining calls with multiplayer games and rewards for time spent in voice. It advertises noise suppression and low-latency voice, while an overlay shows who is speaking during gameplay. PlayFrame places multiplayer games inside voice channels without separate game installs. Users earn XP and collectible coins with rarity tiers and redeem codes. Communities can set roles, ranks, and per-channel permissions, and the app supports friends, direct messages, and one-to-one calls. Bots support moderation, music, and games; developers can use a bot API with REST endpoints and real-time Server-Sent Events for messages, roles, voice, and other events. Security listings include passwordless login, two-factor authentication, and session control. The privacy policy describes encryption at rest, access controls, account deletion, and data-access rights, and says Argon does not sell personal data or use third-party targeted advertising. Argon is in open beta. Its free plan includes voice, messaging, screen sharing, and communities. Downloads are listed for Windows 11 64-bit and macOS 26+ Apple Silicon.

The Free plan costs nothing and includes an account, Tavern creation, community membership, chat, voice, and community tools; optional extras use Prisma. There is no free trial. Members can upload files up to 2 GB for free, while each Tavern supports 700 custom emoji and 1,000 stickers without a subscription or boosts. Stage halls synchronize video playback for watch parties using YouTube, TikTok, X posts, Vimeo, Twitch clips, and video files. The homepage describes screen sharing at 1080p and 60 fps. Voice, video, and screen-sharing calls are end-to-end encrypted, except when a voice hall streams to or from a third party that does not support that encryption.
