Arility vs Assemblr EDU

Arility is a free Android and iOS app providing augmented-reality safety education for children in classrooms, homes and experiential learning centres. Lessons combine 360-degree visuals, sound effects, AR characters and interactive scenarios where students make choices that affect outcomes. Teachers use a real-time dashboard to supervise individuals, pairs, groups or whole classes, including multiple classes simultaneously. Pre, post and extension questions assess learning, and emailed reports link student outcomes to curriculum outcomes and include answers. Activities address Australian and UK curriculum outcomes, with packs covering health, flood, driving, road safety, Constable Care safety school, driveway safety and small wheeled devices. The app works without internet after download, but sharing pictures and reports requires connectivity. Lessons require a printed Arility marker, downloadable in A4, A3, A2, A1 or A0 sizes. Compatible devices are Apple iPads, iPad minis and Android tablets; mobiles do not currently work. Arility says class photos are emailed to teachers and not stored on its servers, while other collected data is retained indefinitely.

Assemblr EDU is an education platform for creating and sharing 3D and augmented reality learning materials. Its drag-and-drop editor lets users build interactive media from 2D and 3D objects, text, annotations, video, images, and presentation slides without coding. Ready-made Topics include learning slides, 3D and AR lessons, and lesson plans for different curricula and grade levels. Teachers can set up virtual classes, share lessons and work, and see class updates in one place. Projects can be shared by link, as 3D views, or as AR experiences; custom markers can be scanned to view projects in AR. The Free plan is free and includes 30 MB of storage per account, limited Topics and Edu Kits, 400 free 3D objects, unlimited QR markers, and 25 custom graphic AR markers. Single costs $1.49 a month and has one premium seat, 300 MB storage, and unlimited Topics, Edu Kits, and Editor library access. A School plan has special pricing and a minimum of 10 premium seats.
