In their own words

Arratech Peppol-as-a-Service

Arratech Peppol-as-a-Service provides cloud infrastructure for e-invoicing and e-reporting through an API, Access Point, and SMP. Its Access Point sends and receives electronic business documents across Peppol and related networks such as DBNAlliance. Customers can choose a shared or white-labeled Access Point, and built-in validation checks documents before exchange. Supported formats include Peppol BIS, PINT, and XML, with automatic transformation for local requirements. The SMP lets customers register and manage participants who receive documents, and supports migration from other SMPs. The API connects ERP, accounting, payment, or other software to Peppol; currently released APIs support white-labeled Access Points but not SMPs. Sandbox access and Production and Test environments are available. Arratech offers a free trial with instant signup, though no duration is stated. It identifies itself as a certified Peppol Access Point and SMP provider, lists GDPR compliance, and says transmission uses TLS 1.2+ and AES-256. Pricing is on request.

Domibus

Domibus is the European Commission’s sample implementation of an eDelivery AS4 Access Point. It enables organizations to exchange documents and data through interoperable nodes across public or private networks. eDelivery specifications use digital signatures and encryption for integrity and confidentiality, with a digitally signed receipt required for each message. The REST Plugin provides an authenticated OpenAPI interface, webhook notifications, and message resend or download workflows. Default Web Service, File System, and JMS plugins are listed in Jakarta EE 8 and Jakarta EE 10 variants. Version 5.2.1.3, released on 11 September 2026, is identified as the latest security patch. Domibus supports Tomcat 10.1, WebLogic 14.1.2, and WildFly 37.0.x, plus MySQL 8 or Oracle 19c and Java 21 options. It is free, open source, self-hosted, and available through an on-premise deployment model.
