| Integrations | The Async Voice API documentation lists Pipecat, LiveKit, Twilio, n8n, and Picsart Flow as integrations. | Show notes can use OpenAI-compatible endpoints, with examples for LM Studio, Ollama, OpenAI, Together AI, and Groq; Anthropic requires a compatibility shim. |
| Security | Async’s privacy policy says it strives to protect personal data using commercially acceptable means but cannot guarantee absolute security. | The project describes 24-hour JWT room tokens, scoped invite tokens, role-based access, WebSocket message caps, per-IP connection limits, rate limits, CORS controls, and hardened security headers. |

In their own words
Async
Async is an online AI video editor where users create and edit videos through chat. It can remove filler, pauses, repetitions, bad takes, and awkward moments. Magic Dust reduces background noise and clarifies voices, while chat can generate B-roll, visuals, scenes, or music within an edit. Users can add subtitles and turn moments from longer videos into short-form clips. Async presents the workflow for ads, vlogs, explainers, podcasts, and other formats, and says it is built for creators and teams. Its browser-based remote interview feature supports up to 10 participants with separate tracks; local recording and automatic transcription are also listed. The Voice API supports text-to-speech and speech-to-text, including streaming over WebSockets. Async is available on the web and iOS, with no Android version listed. The Free plan is free and includes 10 lifetime AI credits, one hour of media upload to AI chat, exports up to 720p, and 2 GB storage. Paid pricing starts at $11.99/mo (annual).
OpenStudio
OpenStudio is a free, self-hosted virtual broadcast studio for live call-in shows, multi-host podcasts, and community radio. It runs through web, API, and self-hosted deployments. Browser sessions use peer-to-peer WebRTC mesh audio with mix-minus monitoring for around 15 participants. Operators can send programs through Icecast to unlimited listeners on their own domain. The browser records separate voice tracks and a program mix, exporting WAV or WebM; MP3 export requires ffmpeg. Optional on-device tools add whisper.cpp transcription, audio cleaning, and LLM-generated show notes. Show notes can connect to OpenAI-compatible endpoints, including LM Studio, Ollama, OpenAI, Together AI, and Groq; Anthropic needs a compatibility shim. Self-hosted broadcasts have unlimited airtime, while the live demo expires after 15 minutes. Setup uses git clone, npm install, and npm start, opening localhost:6736. Hosts currently share room URLs manually because invite-link creation is not exposed.
