In their own words
AudD
AudD identifies music in audio files, user-generated content, microphone recordings, streams, and video through web, API, and extension access. Results can include artist, title, album, label, release date, and identifiers such as ISRC and UPC; the listed capabilities also include lyrics, listening links, and identification history. AudD says its database contains 160 million songs and uses its own neural-network audio fingerprinting technology. The standard endpoint analyzes up to about 12 seconds per request; longer files require the enterprise endpoint, which can process files of any length and return track timestamps. AudD can monitor radio stations and streams around the clock, returning results through webhooks or long polling. Stream recognition supports Twitch, YouTube, and other stream URLs, with a Twitch extension and embeddable widget. File recognition pay-as-you-go costs $5 a month, billed at $5 per 1,000 requests, and signup includes 300 requests without a credit card. A free plan and trial are listed; stream-monitoring trial inquiries are also available.
Audile
Audile is a free, open-source Android app for identifying music playing nearby. It can send recognition requests to AudD or ACRCloud, or use Shazam; Odesli helps retrieve links to recognized tracks on different music services. Recognition can start with one click, and a recording can be saved for later recognition when the device reconnects to the internet. Users can also start recognition from the notification drawer, home screen widget, floating button, or quick settings tile. Track details may include title, artist, album, release year, artwork, lyrics, and service links. Its library keeps recognized tracks and supports search, filtering, favorites, and deletion. Audile says it does not use ads, tracking, analytics, or user profiling. For AudD or ACRCloud, recordings of 3–10 seconds are sent to the selected service; Shazam receives audio fingerprints generated on the device. Crash reports are not sent automatically, though users may email reports containing device and crash information. AudD requires a paid service token, and recognition without one is significantly restricted and not guaranteed. The listed Android requirement is version 8.0 or later.
