In their own words
AudioNote
AudioNote links notes to voice recordings so users can select a note and seek to its related audio. It supports typed, handwritten, and photo notes, with customizable fonts, colors, and shapes. During playback, notes highlight and scroll automatically; playback speed is adjustable with automatic pitch correction. Users can also annotate PDF slides and organize notes into subject folders. AudioNote is available on Android, iOS, macOS, and Windows, and the maker lists iCloud Drive, Dropbox, and other sharing options for syncing between devices. The maker advertises a one-month free trial of Pro. On Windows, the demo allows unlimited viewing of existing notes, but new recordings are limited to five minutes per note until a valid Product Key is entered. The Mac version costs 14.99 USD once and requires macOS 13.0 or later. The app can be used free to view notes recorded elsewhere; purchases are handled separately by app stores. Transcription is not a product feature. The Mac App Store listing says transcription runs on-device and audio and transcripts are never transmitted.
SpeakPipe
SpeakPipe lets podcast listeners send voice messages through a personal voicemail page or website widgets, which podcasters can include in episodes. A page link can be shared without installing anything on a website. SpeakPipe also offers inline widgets for webpages or blog posts and a dialog widget opened from a side button; the latter can be installed on sites that allow custom HTML or JavaScript. Widget senders do not need SpeakPipe accounts and may leave a name and email address. If an email address is provided, the account holder can send a voice reply.
The Free plan includes unlimited messages, recordings up to 90 seconds, 100MB storage, one widget, one voicemail page, and email notifications. Gold costs $12.00 per month when billed annually, or $15/month when billed monthly; Premium costs $36.00 per month when billed annually, or $45/month when billed monthly. Both paid plans include a 30-day free trial. SpeakPipe says messages are private within the account unless shared publicly. It supports web, iOS, and Android; the FAQ specifies current Chrome and Firefox on Android and Safari on iOS. Widgets cannot add fields beyond name and email, cannot be embedded in email newsletters, and support English only.
