In their own words
Audius
Audius is a music streaming and sharing platform for artists, labels and fans. Listeners can discover, stream, collect, like and share tracks at no cost, while artists can upload and promote music for free and choose whether releases are free or priced. Streaming is delivered at 320kbps with a 48kHz sample rate, and artists can enable lossless downloads. Search filters cover profiles, tracks, albums and playlists, with options such as genre, mood, key, BPM and download availability. Fans can buy tracks and albums by credit or debit card or cryptocurrency, with payments going directly to artists; Audius takes a 10% network fee on music sales, with the remaining 90% available for instant withdrawal. Audius supports offline listening and runs on the web, Android, iOS, macOS, Windows and Linux. Its REST API supports querying and streaming tracks, users and playlists, with JavaScript SDK, OAuth login and GraphQL tools also available. Direct messages are end-to-end encrypted, but group messaging is unavailable.
Deezer
Deezer is a music streaming service from a company founded in 2007 and headquartered in Paris, France. Its free plan costs nothing and provides ad-supported streaming with access to over 120 million songs. Deezer also lists a 30-day trial. The service supports web, Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android, with offline listening and lossless audio available. Paid plan entries are organized by account count: Premium and Premium Annual cover one account, Duo and Duo Annual cover two, and Family and Family Annual cover six. A Student plan is also listed. Deezer is therefore presented as a freemium service with free listening and several account-based paid options. Listeners can use it across browsers, computers, and mobile devices, and can choose plans that match individual, student, two-account, or six-account use.
